Merry Christmas Bloggerland!

I'm so happy I made myself find time to make my very first original Xmas card this year!

I've been telling myself I would do it pretty much every year since I started art school and now that I am done I finally did it.

I've been thinking a lot about Sound of Music since last spring when I made my boyfriend sit down and watch the movie with me, because he had never seen it all the way through. Since we watched it I had intentions of drawing the goat puppets, but never got around to it. So I knocked out two birds with one stone on this one...

Did this for my awesome boss, Anthony's birthday. His favorite movie is Wall-e so I decided it might be nice to draw him an original little doodle. It was fun and I pretty much just took this straight from my thumbnail.

After months of waiting "Licorice" has finally arrived!

I had ordered her back in December for my boyfriend, George, and thought I had found him the perfect Christmas gift, but it turns out their release date got pushed back twice. I was beginning to think we might not ever get her, but she arrived today and she is adorable!

Photos and the prototype at Comic-Con last year did not do the final product justice. I took her out of her box and checked her out to make sure she was in good condition before I gave her to him today. I also snapped this quick shot with my iSight.

She is number 290/350. Can't wait until we have our own place to display her properly!

Year Book!

Every semester at Cartoon Network all the interns make a year book for the crews and give them out before they leave. So I decided for my page in the year book I would draw myself instead of just putting in a photo. I also wanted to include an element of the show I worked on so that's part of the Ben 10 logo behind me.

Yesterday I decided to start leaving some post-its on my desk at work. There are a lot of little doodles from past interns, but nothing from me yet and I've been here six weeks already! (Time is flying!)

Anyway, here's a little doodle of Noa from my FAVORITE comic in the world, Sky Doll...

I try to avoid drawing things that are already really well done since I know I am just going to butcher the original design, but this was fun.

for a while now and last night it finally happened. In my mind the song is one of the

sweetest love songs between John & Paul.

Since Valentine's Day is right around the corner I thought I'd do a little V-day doodle.

This is my rendition of the first Valentine's Day gift I received from George three years ago. Yes, it is a male unicorn. Yes, he is very manly even though he is nauseatingly pink and his name is Fong-Ming. His name is an inside joke, but for those of you who know where that comes from I know you will appreciate it.

For my final semester in art school I am attempting to make an animated short about a girl and her great dane and the trouble they get into. So I decided to get myself hyped up and motivated I am going inject as much Beatles influence as possible. Here is the beginning of the silliness, my movie poster! If you are a Beatles fan you'll probably be able to pick out where everything (including their names) came from.

My characters have evolved over the last few months and I feel much more comfortable drawing them now so here is my new poster!

Lately I have been really inspired by horses having seen two Disney movies that had really memorable horse characters, Tangled and Secretariat. This guy came galloping into my head last night. He was a horse I knew when I was a little girl that I used to visit every summer in New Hampshire and I dreamt of the day I would be big enough to ride him all by myself. Sadly, that never happened and I hadn't thought about him for a while until now. His name was Thunder and he was a MASSIVE (relative to a little kid) American, wall-eyed, paint horse. I haven't drawn a horse in a while, and I still can't draw them from my head, but when I have time I'd like to start visiting stables again to draw them from life instead of using photo reference.
